• <H4> What to expect at your first psychology session. The initial session with your psychologist will last 80 minutes. Subsequent sessions will be 50 minutes. During the first session Moira will speak with you about the issues of and limits to confidentiality. The purpose of the initial session is for you to discuss with your psychologist the concerns which have brought you to therapy and to start considering how you would like yourself or your life to be different, as a result of the work you undertake together. To gather this information, Moira will ask you questions in relation to your background, what's been happening for you, where you're feeling stuck in your life and about the kind of assistance you are hoping to receive. During this discussion you may say as much or as little about these topics as you feel comfortable. The information you provide in this and coming sessions, will assist you and your psychologist to develop a plan of treatment and focus for coming sessions.
